Crushed glass

A number of the old "plugs", like Captain Bills, used crushed glass on their sides for sparkle. Any idea where I can find some?

Colors

Clear, amber and a soft yellow. Needs to be coarse, like floor sanding paper, but not too sharp edges. The old stuff was "faceted" and would sparkle when the light hit it.

The original source for that was crushed up burned out christmas tree bulbs that would silver on the inside when they blew. Yellow, white, red and blue were the sought after colors. They would collect them then crush them. True story.

Why even try.........
