Two Friekin' Cold to Fish Night - Official What / Where / Who / Food Thread

Here is the who is coming and what to bring thread for the FOURTH Annual “Striped-Bass.com Too Friekin’ Cold to Fish Nite” slated for Saturday Night February 18th. For those that don't know, the Too Friekin Cold to Fish Nite is an awesome party / fundraiser that keeps the site open and free. This will be the 4th year and all have enjoyed previous TFCTFNs. It also kept the site up and running with no annoying popup ads and . Door tickets and Raffle table proceeds from that on night go a LONG way to run the site for most of a year. TFCTFN also can server as a De-ShackNastifier by getting everyone together for a last big time before the dinks (bass) arrive
What we do: we rent a VFW hall in Fairhaven, Ma already reserved that is just stumbling distance (verified ) across the street from a Holiday Inn (highly recommended - not for crature comforts but for a short stumble to serenades by R.M. and Blueberry Beer). What we do is try to get people to bring a dinner dish, desert, an appetizer, or condiments / paper & plastic (forks & knives).
We can bring our significant others, we set up a buffet style and let people, well, buffet... This is a GREAT chance for people to meet each other and maybe even plan out a fishing trip for later in the year.

Like last year, smoking is outside.

Entertainment is a little different this year and at the requests of a lot of people, more geared to conversing with each other than very formal. Though there is a rumor about a quick "Roast" of the Clam Man
The Bar is adjacent to the hall so drinks are available if anyone wants to imbibe.

We will have a raffle table - hopefully as good or better than last year - and we will gladly accept donations for the raffle table
Tickets will be like the last three years, $10 single or per legit couple (significant others, not fishin' buddies ) ?
Now we did have a few prizes last year

Where - VFW Hall , Middle St in Fairhaven - well located for people from all parts of New England, off 195 (directions to follow)

For rooms at the Holiday Inn - Call and register a room 508-997-1281. Our group rate is $72 per night, all you need to say is the group "FishCo". I highly encourage people getting a room, split one get a few together, whatever the case, or if you are going to imbibe, arrange your transportation pleeeze...

Who - So who is coming and what will you bring?

Suggestions? Comments?

1) Me & the Bride a/k/a TheBetterHalf - will bring Cuttyhunk Terryaki Shepards Pie & Chicken Pot Pie
like the past few years! |

				 | Actually I saw you were going Sandman and that was the kicker. I want to hear about sandworms and scallops while I'm eating them (scallops not sand worms). Still not sure though but I'm gonna try. |
