No slot in NJ?
I am seeing hundreds of pics on FB of BIG bass in front of tackle shops. Definitely not C&R. IS there no slot in CT or NJ?

The current NJ limit is the same as last year, 1 fish from 28-38 inches (yes, they had a higher top end all along.) They deferred decision on the emergency regulation to a meeting sometime this month (June) to gather additional information and public input as all states technically could have done.
There is no trophy tag in NJ, but in place of a commercial fishery they have a striped bass bonus program for recreational anglers which allows tag holders a single additional fish between 24 and 28 inches.

Toby, I am seeing fish much bigger than 38" being posted on FB. One guy in particular posted a 51" this morning. Fish was dead and hanging in front of a tackle shop.

The new slot has to be in place no later than 2 July. ASMFC is authorized to shut down the fishery of any state that's not in compliance--whether they will or not remains to be seen.
