They already have tropical storm warnings posted for LI on Friday.

This storm is so big, hurricane force winds will probably extend very far from the eye. I think anywhere from the Va Capes to Maine will feel some effects.

Are any of you good internet searchers? Someone mentioned it is 100 years to the week that the last hurricane hit New Jersey directly, but I can't find anything about it. Probably wasn't big enough or did enough damage. Anyway, I'd be curious to know if anyone has a resource.

Awesome. Thanks. Although as of half an hour ago it looks like the storm track will hit around Hatteras, wreak havoc in Virginia and slip behind NJ and go thru Pennsyltuckey.
