He just played recently in the area...would have loved to have seen him.

One night long ago at Fort Adams, Gordon Lightfoot played. This is back when I did drugs and I was f'ed up on pot and other hallucinogenic substances. So Gordon does a bunch of songs and then starts to break into The Edmund Fitzgerald. As he starts, the stage is bathed in red light and the fog starts rolling over the wall at Ft Adams. Everyone was just blown away.

The next day the ProJo music writer Tony Lioce wrote that it was one of the most magical moments in music.

There were a bunch of people with me, including my wife who never did a drug in her life, and they all verified it.

No boat, back in the suds.

An interesting thread on the Edmund Fitzgerald from another board that I am a member of:

Frasier: Niles, I’ve just had the most marvelous idea for a website! People will post their opinions, cheeky bon mots, and insights, and others will reply in kind!

Niles: You have met “people”, haven’t you?
