DriveWay / Wet basement question

Question ,
I was thinking of making my driveway double wide so we can park another car in the driveway, My question is this:
I have a wet basement, would it be worth it to have them bring the tar all the way up to the house so the water runs down the driveway ? right now it's a 7ft wide garden between the house and the drive way ?
Just tossing it out for ideas?

only worth it if thats where the water is leaking in

i would be looking at your roof drainage and consider putting in
a drainage hose system underneath or it may get
under cut.... all it takes is a single chipmunk hole
to get that scenario started.

my other thought as well ....but if you put extensions on them
they cannot travel over the top of the drive way

it all depends on how the yard -> slopes away from the house
