Tip Glue

I have been using hot glue from a glue gun to install my tips. What are my other choises. The glue I have used comes from one of the craft stores but seems to not hold that well espessialy if it is warm out. Any thoughts? I have just fininshed a rod for my son as a gift but have yet to install the tip.

Ferrule cement or 5 min. epoxy. If tip is sloppy on dry fit, a couple wraps under will help cement to hold. Can then wrap over for finish.

Flex coat adhesive works well. Stand the tip up(I use forceps), drip some into the tip then smear some on the blank... quickly aline. Rarely do my tips come undone.
