I called Seabait direct because I didn't have Dave's number, which is not listed on the Seabait website. If you (or he) has an issue with them selling direct you better take it up with them instead of hinting at it in a forum. They gave me Dave's number but also said I could place an order with them which I did since I already had them on the phone.
Maybe it's just me but that was probably more PM material then public forum.

Have they come out with a bottom paint version yet? I could use it.
On a more serious note, any consensus on what flavor is best?

Seems in the spring the Clamworm is the tops, Dave has been using the eel lately with good success, I sometimes mix them together and I transfer mine to a spray bottle.....

Some truth in advertising please.
Honestly, is this stuff really any good or are you doing it because of some financial or product kick-back? What is your relation to the company? Also, is Steve connected with the company that makes Sluggos in some way? I know he uses them and is successful but you guys seem to be over the top with regard to the infomercial like "advice" you provide.

Yes, In my opinion it works, Steve and I get NOTHING from seabait and steve gets nothing from Lunker City makers of the Sluggo...I do plug on occasion and Dave Sanford gave me the stuff to try, it certainly seemed to make a big difference in how long fish "hold" on and I saw an inrease in action almost 2 to 1 over not using the seabait....So thats as honest as I can be, for me, it works, I even put it on my live eels...think what you want...but thats the truth

Thanks for that. That sounded sincere, and I believe you. I guess the reason you guys are so forthcoming with all this info is to boost your reader popularity. No matter what the reason, I will give it a try. Thanks for the tip.
To date, I have not really been a big believer in scents and they tend to stink up the surf bag but I will try one of them. If you were to select one to try to add to plastic eels, which scent do you like?...eel would be my guess.

That was easy...yes the eel scent...What scents do the best in my opinon is take away the "plastic" smell.
And no , I am not forthcoming to up my readership?? I am usually not forthcoming at all

In the fall sometimes a rigged rubber eel out performs the reel eel on a squid. One of my friends did not believe in the scent an we where killin em.finally he succumbed an put some on an started to hook up.if there was ever a case of scent convincing. That instance sure was a good one.
I don't like to get crazy with the stuff.it does make a mess out of things.TimS smears it on everything.I think if ur a smoker it's good to keep the smell of tabacco off ur stuff, I especially like scents on rubber. In the current i really don't use em, but in the surf definitely.
I been doing the bunker oil in a spray bottle since I read Stevie does it.It's not as much mess that way..
I figure if it helps me catch one more fish its worth it.It could be the fish that makes u stay a while longer that leads to a better fish.
I have heard lots of good things about the Seabait stuff i got to get me some.I know Flap likes it.

The sandworm wand is a nice substitute when I run out of real sandworms for the tube and worm, just rub it on a berkeley power sandworm and viola'

It's been a while and i have been there and done that... I like brown oil (forgot who makes it) it's real stinky and if your really desperate you can spray it on some bubble weed and throw it back in the dink to attract bait fish... I tried that green stuff... lol yup stained everything green and didn't notice squat... tried that lunker sauce.. what a joke... $$ waste.... gave the seabait a whirl figured what do i have to loose... another $6 - $7.... smell... is very tolerable I love the sandworm potion it's a must have in the surfbag a touch on the bucktail when the bass are finness feeding and wham... what no bass... every shoreline is littered with bank sinkers and lobster pots.. cut a small piece of the rope from the pot and put it on a hook... attach yer sinker and "viola" you can artifically bottom fish... LOL... I'm not into scup but wow the wacks i get... I love it when a tautog or a seabass picks it up... haven't caught a striper fishing this way but just about everything else....
btw for you guys who fish fiddlers for tautog... if you don't want to wait for that first hit... a drop right under the shell will get things going... outfished 4 guys this am after i got done slinging eels... picked up a couple of fiddlers threw it out there... 20 minutes later a hit.. was like doh... looked in my bag for another hook saw the potion and was like hmm... cast and hold on.... 30-60 seconds for a hit...
just my .02 cents...
