IE problem

Somehow every time I open the browser it goes to some other page that was not set as my homepage. This page is set as the default, I went into tools, changed the homepage back to here and clicked apply, however if I close the browser and open it again it defaults back to this spam crap... How can I change the default homepage??/

Other people recommended the free version and so I loaded it. Works GREAT! Give it a try.

It runs real quick and doesn't hog up much RAM, or clock speed. I do it every hour depending how long I am online and where I have been surfing.

Its amazing how much crap gets dumped on your pc.

I did the adaware and it did'nt help. I have to connect to the internet first with the dsl, and then open the browser to get anywhere. This is the normal operation. If I open the browser first now it goes to this page that is somehow hidden on my desktop.

res://mshp.dll/index.html#10213

I have gone into windows 20 tmesand deleted mshp.dll, and it always comes back.
I know nothing and it is pi$$$ing me off.

I'd like to get my hand around the neck of the jerk who made this up.

Keep using the software above - sometimes I get these critters and it doesn't totally go away until I reboot the machine.

If you see the name of the item and the AW doesn't get rid of it, sometimes I go to the file directly and delete it myself, or rename it (change to read only verses archive - dunno WHAT that does, but it sometimes works and lets me fool it and then I can delete it ....LOL).

Run the AW BEFORE you log off ( I run it way lot more than that usually) and see how much crap is there.

Good luck and stay away from those websites.

It's a good program.. You'll be surprised what it will find... I use it and no-problems... A must if your downloading MP3's and other files.. Alot of pricks lay a small section of code in the file your downloading.. and depending on what application you use to open it.. it runs.. then it makes changes to your system.. like reasigning the homepage.. and making a permenant connection to a server.. stuff like that...

mine does it too specialist

some safesearch bull crap (after a re-boot) its called browser hijacking and we are in a browser war bigtime between Micro$oft, google, aol, yahoo, and the rest. Its why i keep a short cut to control panel (found in my computer) on my desktop so i can quickly go back in there and hit internet options and return it
to google which opens extremely fast. vivisimo.com i also have on the desktop because it catergorizes my searches into groups eliminating the non related items.
