Just curious....

I have what some would call a second generation Goo-Goo by the L.Cooper Co. with the clear amber eyes. It's not in that great of shape but better then most i have seen that have been fished. The paint is pretty well cracked and the hooks are rusty there is also a rubber blemish on the back...

Would it be advisable to thru drill this lure and rig it with better hardware? or would i just be wasting time as once it hits the water it will swell up and the paint will fall off?

thanks in advance,
Paul
