i bought a new HP with XP years ago with 128mb of ram I upgraded to 256 then 512 its not like vista where you need 1 gb but 2 gb is better. |

A slim install of XP is OK with 384 (though you start to notice it with SP3).
Of Course, 4GB (3.5 recognized) flies  |

new machine has that and a quad core processor.
