Ram install

I have two laptops that I would like to increase the ram on.
The ram itself is cheap. From everything I have read the install is very easy. However, I'd rather not do it myself.
All the places I see charge an insane amount for a job that shouldn't take that long at all (according to what I am reading).
Is there any place that charges a reasonable rate?

question 1 - do you already have the ram
question 2 - are you going to be near Rhode Island?

Greg , I've done it before on a PC not a laptop but I'm somewhat mechanically inclined and can do it for you.

Laptops can be a little bit more frighting, but yes its simple, and there is a small methodology to taking the ram out and putting it in. but again that is simple as well. i suggested he watch a YouTube Video. or if hes in RI he can swing by my house and i would put it in for him. Hell i could prob walk him step by step VIA the phone. or you Andy, seeing as how you have PC experience. Let me know and we can set something up.

Hey Greg - what kind of computer / model / memory and how much do you have? I may have what you need

Laptops also have various ways to install, most easy, on a rare occasion somewhat of a pain

If you have 2 memory slots you can you just have 2 buy 2 2gig chips

Specs say single slot so 2 gig it is

Crucial's website tells me 2gb for that model. I don't know enough about it.
