Gorilla glue
Just bought some. Anyone here using or has used it? Got some pine but need to bulk up so I thought I would use the stuff. Also, after dampening the pieces before gluing how long should I let it sit before turning etc.?

I use it some. Let it dry over night, wear a face shield (laminated turnings can split from tail stock pressure). It doesn't require much moisture, just a quick wipe down on one side of the joint. You will need to clamp it (it foams and expands as it dries). You can also use it on screw eyes. Not truly waterproof (I think), but plenty resistant for a plug. Don't get it on your hands, it stays there a very long time. |

Also, be VERY careful if you have any pets or children around that might mistake it for being edible. If ingested it is not a pretty site when it reacts with internal body fluids. I saw some pictures a few weeks back of a dog that ate some.

I laminated maple to ayc last year when I did my off center stuff. I let it dry overnight. Just be sure to set the clamped pieces on some scrap material up off of the surface of your table. When the glue foams up and runs out of the joints if its sitting flush to the work table it will be glued to the table too.  |

I used to use it to set my lips in plugs.....had a tendancy to break down after awhile in the salt water. had to redo all the lips w/ epoxy.

it foams up and expands and might end up where you dont want it... try it out on something thats not important first

the newer "Nano" technology type gorilla glue alleges h2o proof. I use it, have not tested the waterproofness though

I never used Gorilla, but Titebond III is waterproof, and not quite as messy and never yet have had a glue seam failure.
