Cut Lami GSB 1201L

Wanted to post a thank you to those that recommended and shared there comments on cutting this blank. I picked mine up from m&d's this weekend and have used it the last couple times out. I went with 4 inches off the top and and 2 off the bottom to get it to 9'6. It throws eels really well and I've been using it to comforably throw plugs up to 3.5 oz. I also have the same confidence fighting fish with it that I do with the gsb 1201L. Great stick. Now I can only hope that I don't break it.

I like it 2-3.5. I have not thrown anything heavier. 1.5 oz seems ok.

Thanks. A little too beefy for what I am looking for as far as its loading capabilities, which might not exist. It is hard to find a rod around 9' that throws bombers well, handles fish in strong current from a rock pile and is not too fast like the Arra 1084 or the rainshadow SU blanks.

Yours sounds like a nice rod though, good luck with it.

Lami GLB 1081m. Maybe my favorite rod. You'll like it.
