Hank Williams, Merle Hagard, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn etc... THAT'S COUNTRY MUSIC
As for others...

I like some wacky jazz like Witches Brew era Miles or Sun Ra.

Can't beat the prog rock like ELP, Yes or my favorite band RUSH .

Beck is always a good choice, he's a freaking wizard.

Classic rock will live forever...anything really...it's all good.

The old Zep, Sabbath and early Clapton bands are all fantastic.

Even the grunge bands were pretty hot, Nirvanna, Alice n Chains etc...

Just none of that sheep herdin music Skippy listens to and no EMO!

 | I used to work with a guy in a hardcore band and Madball was his favorite.

Me....I like The Who (Kids are alright...great movie), Pink Floyd, CCR,
Clapton, Skynyrd, Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers, Ted Nugent, Black Sabbath, some of the corny 70's stuff like Chicago, America, Jim Croce and Simon & Garfunkel, AC/DC (only up till Back In Black...after that they sucked), Nirvana, Blind Melon, Alice In Chains, Godsmack, Stone Temple Pilots.

Notice I left out just about everything from the 80's? That's a decade that should just be forgotten |

				 | Spence, We'll call it "modern day" country. It's not the country of 30 years ago thats for sure. But just like any type of music, it evolves over time into a different sound. Whatever you wanna call modern day country music,i like it! Its good stuff |

This is a tough one. I'm all over the place these days.

My top five recently has been;

1. Overcast- last album before they broke up (heard they are getting back together for a show.
2. Sense Field- older stuff
3. Helmet- mean time
4. Cast Iron Hike
5 Craig Richards and Lee Burridge Tyrant

I miss BAIN ,Intergrity, Floorpunch , Slapshot , Twilo(da club), Elliot, The Rat, going to CBGB's to see a rare show in college. So many to name but I saw Sasha and Digweed at Twilo about 10 times to many to remember anyone else. Best show I ever went to was the Raybeez tribute who when Sick of it All and the Gorilla Biscuits played at CB's. |
