Wren

I leave my garage windows open this time of year for the wrens,,, this year they built two nests.
I noticed one of the nest had been destroyed, figured chipmunk or squirrel….
I could hear the chicks chirping in the other one this evening while I was in the garage…
In comes a Falcon ( my guess ) doing mark five , circled twice and I thought he was going to take my head off… LOL Wicked cool..

I think that explains why some days my bird feeder gets no visitors…

Also, try Merlin Bird ID , really cool app… picked up 14 species the other evening….

Goofy birds the Carolina wren. Like to nest too close to the ground and always at risk of predators. If you hear one please refer it as Jake.

Count yourself lucky. Over here, at this time of the year, they never shut up.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.

We always have wren nesting and enjoy their antics, but a local cooper hawk keeps thinning our dozens of varieties birds. If not the hawk, the mocking birds are always harassing the other birds.
