Brass Lips ...

Any good .. I want to try some brass lips on handcarves .. What guage , and can I find it at homies ?

www.discountsteel.com They have all kinds of metals and you can order strips. Haven't used them but they look interesting. Hand carves with brass lips? Ooooooooooh!

Have not tried brass. Lexan, aluminum, and stainless. Prefer the latter for all but some smaller freshie stuff.

try true value hardware or other's..ac more...comes in strip's ..thickness from paper thin to almost a 1/8"..it's reel nice to work with.

BOAT fish do count.

thanks guys ... was thinking there might be some wierd electrolisist with the brass and stainless thru wire ... not to mention salt .. What guage is good ?

Cool link .. punched in 12" x 12 " on 1/16 brass sheet . $41.00 ... didn't get as far as shipping ..

$15.00 same size stainless.. 304 b .. ?

at the hardware store in with all the small hobyist plastic. there's perfect strips.
they got brass wire too..gromets. you name it. very easy to work with.
