American Chopper show

Does anyone else enjoy watching this show?

My wife and I watch it every week and sometime we are laughing out loud at the dynamics between Paul Senior and his sons!

We both think that Mikey is Paul Sr.'s favorite despite lacking any direction or fabrication talent. Paul Jr is truly amazing at the skills he has in building bikes, but we both think lately he has developed a bit of an ego. Paul Sr, makes the show! I think we have all known someone in our lives who roars like a lion but is really just a lot of talk when you come right down to it.

I don't ride, probably never will, but I have to admit, this is a great show!

I try to catch the show periodically. I don't currently have a ride, but have had several throughout the years and also built two of my own from scratch. Not the type of High $$ choppers they build. More what would be considered "Old School". Last one I built came out pretty sweet though. Paugo rigid frame, 1980 Shovelhead bored to 103 c.i., open primary belt drive, FX Wide Glide front end raked out a bit. This bike would beat most of the guys with the $30,000 customs. And guess who's bike they all milled around when at bars or gatherings? Yup. Too many of the high end customs and they start to all get a little whitewashed like a stock bike. I think you'll see a return to a somewhat more traditional "Old School" chopper look soon.
I think that "Trim Spa" bike that Paul Jr. put together was the best looking bike he's made so far.
Good show though.

The future ain't what it used to be. --Yogi Berra

While they're good builders, I think they lack origionality in the frame/fender/tank department.

There's only so many ways you can dress up the same thing.

But hey, they got their own TV show so they must be doing something right...

American Hot Rod I believe is starring custom car builder Boyd Coddington! They aired a few episodes earlier last fall, and it was ok! If it is the same show, it is Boyd Coddington!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

The show is excellent, I've seen each episode probably a half dozen times by now -

Paul Sr. reminds me a LOT of a guy I used to work for.

Paul Jr is gettin' a little full of himself lately but he's a relatively young guy and I'm sure the whole thing is a heady experience for him. An old chef I used to work with used to say he could take temperment as long as there was talent to go with it.

Yeah, it's enjoyable reality TV unlike the other C-R-A-P that's on, pretty much real guy TV.

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

I think that show is awesome. Yes they are being funded to do the things they do but they produce some incredible works of art and big Paulie has a heart of gold.

The santa bike, the fire bike, the POW bike. It's just plain awesome !

Makes the Jesse James guy look like a real prima donna.......

Indian Larry is the guy they should have on, builds better bikes.

Did you see the build off show when he signed the kids autograph and gave him a great bit off advise... "Don't lie, there's too much to remember".

Big Paul seems to be doing more building this year, maybe take some of the wind out of Jr.'s sails, or Jr. is enjoying his trophy girlfriend and new car

They are good but, Jesse is more of a ground up builder, and Indian Larrry is the man, old school wise.

Karl, Have you seen Billy Lane too?, he seems to be a young version of Indian Larry, uses a lot of "scraps" to make his bikes(old school) if he'd stop hitting the bars he'd be even better. johnny "tRB"

Talking Billy Lane from FLA

Yeah!

Party guy for sure, but he builds some nice new wave stuff, loved the build off between him and Indian Larry, Larry wins, but he tells the guy, NOPE, we are cutting this trophy in half!

Billy likes the juice, but even hung over, he's better than most!

Even better , when Billy's bike wouldn't run and Larry spent the day helping him out with it, shows that Larry is a great guy as well as builder. johnny

The old man Paul does nothing but bitch--Talk about a law suit for a hostile work enviorment-- Paul JR is a really good welder but the designs I guess I just dont get it.Lot of nice partsThe younger kid musta got dropped on his squash when he was little. All they do is call vendors and complain that they need it last week when the ordered it 2 hrs ago if they remembered to order it at all.The Guy that works with Paul Jr must be the brains of the operation and ready for sainthood for dealing with Americas most disfunctional chopper shop.He seems to do most of the assemby work and wiring. They farm out everything and only design and assemble. That Trim Spa bike cost the guy 150 grand but got wrote off on his taxes as for business advertisment.THIS IS REALITY???????At least I saw Jessie build a bike he jumps on it and rides a couple thousand miles not around the block and into a trailer to take it to show so some boob with more money than he knows what to do with can buy.How about these idiots riding around Daytona beach in a parade of unregistered uninsured lunecy. How about the cop letting them go??I thought i was gonna get shot at Laconia for passing a cop on the right at a stop light.I also like the old man firing up the yard to kill the bees.Be great at a barbecue I guess. Now kids dont play with fire let daddy do it.unfriggingbelievable.But its good for a laugh

OCC guys are good. It'd a friggin TV show for christ sake.

Jesse is good but more of an egomaniac ass than Paul Sr. (I can see it now. All the pro Jesse/Indian fans are getting angry now )

Glad some of us, i.e. Bawana for example, have it ALL figured out
