The north river down by the old railroad bridge in marshfield/scituate Damon Point RD. is loaded with them.I used to go down there and catch them at night on seaworms and flounder hooks and keep in tank to use at the canal. The toughest thing if using trap is that others will pull your traps if your not around. Also used to go to herring run in Pembroke when the herring are running early in the spring at night and get them with net when they are feeding on the dead herring in the ladders.also used to get them up in ONSET backbay by Old Oceanspray Bogs in minnow traps when getting chubs. But the Jerks used to steal the traps. Most of the ones you get down here are actually imported from Maine.See them in the Canal behind the fish market to the right of the Sanwich boat basin at night. Also Used to be a good place to get Squid but the new lights dont seem to attact as much of what they came in to feed on.Biggest Eel I ever saw was from the Wiewieanic(sp.??) river just outside Wareham on 6 heading for Marion at bridge. guy had just caught.had to be close to 4ft long and huge.(TUNA BAIT)
