It was truly nefarious of the Democrats to get elected and then force Trump to try to subvert the transfer of power so they could investigate him for it.
If the president or Congress had the power to magically reduce the price of gasoline by $1/gal, then I'd agree they should do that first and then return to the January 6 investigation. In reality, gas prices are determined by a global market, not by governmental fiat (thank God).
The last time that was done, it was by a guy who gave arms and god knows what else to raise the price of oil.
