duplicator

first i would like to thank professor m for his great idea and very informative thread on making a lathe duplicator. i took his advice and used an aluminum plate 1/2" thick as a base mounted to the ways. after some thought on producing the holder for the tool bit. came up with this idea. a friend had a router he was no longer using. took the motor out of the holder base. here are some photos. tried turning a plug, very solid and able to take a good depth of cut. i also used a tool ground to 60 degrees with side clearance and top rake as professor m suggested. ground slight nose radius too. cut great.
