Slipknot, thanks for the info on suitable wood types. It looks like it is time to extend my search beyond the local home center. I will look into the cedar and see if it can be had locally.
Pasngas, I got the netting for the scale pattern from one of the lure building supply places. Is it ok to say which one here? Sorry, but I am new, and did not read the rules closely.
