I forgot about the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre".
It's one of the most frightening movies with the least amount of true gore.
Imagine a movie where the "title" method of killing is NEVER seen in the movie? It was a cinematic genius that works the audience into a state that they imagine things that don't actually happen on screen.
That's the true test of a horror gem.

Man, I only wish that the cable stations that are showing horror flicks would break down and try and get something other than the same "Halloween", "Friday the 13th" or "Nightmare on Elm Street" ones they've been showing for the past 3-5 years. That's why I have my own collection of campy B-movies like "The Killer Shrews", "Attack of the Giant Leeches", "Them", and both "Creepshow" movies. This time of year, I need 2 fixes: one fishing and the other horror movies.
