 if you're only going to eat meat once or twice a week, i hope she pushed that fact that you're going to have to be really careful to make sure that your getting enough protein from other sources (i.e. beans, flax seed, etc.). Research vegetarian diets. Its easy to go wrong and make yourself sick. I don't buy what she told you at all. Fatty or fried cuts of meat are bad, but I've never heard anyone say that white meat chicken and fish are bad for you. I'd limit red meat to once or twice a week, and avoid fatty cuts, but one or two serving of meat a week sounds like a recipe for muscle atrophy and 
short term weight loss only. she definately seams to be on the extreme side of things. that would be a really tough diet to maintain.
