on what saxatilus said....about wet wood...i had this back porch that had a doubled up floor joist underneath the deck that never would dry out because it couldnt breath.... and when i finally ripped it apart there was the colony thousands of em with all the larve in there too...
certain foods attract them bigtime....one in particular is artificial creamer for coffee.... it attracts them like crazy!!
