Goose, my suit is 5mm. I originally picked it up for snorkeling, but made the progression pretty quick to fishing in it. As far as buoyancy, I think I am up to a 25 # weight belt in order to neutralize my body for diving. Before the belt, I was popping up like a cork every time I dove down. The suit is 5mm all around. Maybe step up to a solid 5mm?
