I have a wide driveway and watched while it took my neighbor two days to do it himself and he was covered with it by the time he was done, so paying someone else to do it when the time comes is a no-brainer, and they'll add the grit if you want them to. I had heard petroleum based driveway sealer is more durable, but harder to find than the latex. We got crews of guys who drive around in these little trucks covered in the stuff. They remind me of the tanker in "Duel" and get the job done in less than three hours for about $250.00.
