Yes it is walnut. This was a round room, the whole cap on top of the butress was walnut. It had a crazy fascia with several layers and different mouldings. I had to do all the wall panels under the stair and around the room, the ones going up the stair were tricky. This stair had wrought iron railings, a guy came in and made metal templates and they were spot on. Only bad part of doing these in the shop is I never get to see them in the house, finished.
