I want to build a surfster but since I've never even seen a true surfster much less fished one I'm a little short on details . I know the basic shape and lip layout but don't know how it should swim...

I've never tried turning Black Locust but it does resist rotting . The telephone company (Ma Bell) used Black Locust to make the wooden spindles that the glass insulators screwed onto .

It swims pretty much like a conventional turned plug . I just like the look of the offset plugs , more fishy looking , not that the fish care . ;)

I first read about applying E-tex on this site from a post by Mr Pogie (thank you Mr Pogie) and I seem to recall that he claimed that E-tex would go bad after a year and therefore one should buy...
