thanks for the reply fishaddict, i did'nt know if one end of the reel seat is tapered or not. it went on just fine but i was concerned about the over all effect it could have on the rod.

i glued a reel seat on this weekend and after inspection i think i glued it in backwards, the adjusting nut is towards the tip of the rod rather then the butt end. did i just waste a good...

mtnbrz, pick up a rod building book. there are lots out there, i found dale clemmens basic rod building book on ebay for 8.00 it has lots of good info. it helped me.

it went well with the guides, i found two that were not sitting flat on the underwrap. took-em off adjusted the legs rewrapped adjusted as i went. looks much better then before, going to finish off...
