Report July 28th
 

Not much to report actually. But on the positive sides lots and lots of peanut bunker are leaving the Taunton River. Seems early. But they are on the move. Seems the cormorants and gulls are the only things interested right now. Left Somerset to 2nd beach. No surface action anywhere. Marked so fish no love on the flutter spoon. Ended up with a monster Blue on a tube.34 inch’s. And fat. And that was it .. the summer pattern seems in place one week or 2 then it feels like fall pattern?

Wayne a guy that I work with was out at Kings Beach in Newport in his kayak and hook a nice bass, maybe 25-30#....then the shark showed up. Bitten in half. I can't upload the pic for some reason.

A guy told me he caught a shark drifting eels. At sakonnet point. I’m assuming it was a brown shark he didn’t take pictures.
