Your vacation day is cancelled, your vacation day is cancelled..

Your vacation day is cancelled, your vacation day is cancelled.Your vacation day is cancelled, your vacation day is cancelled.Your vacation day is cancelled, your vacation day is cancelled.Your vacation day is cancelled, your vacation day is cancelled.

All #^&#^&#^&#^&ing summer... Now she raises a stink because I have a bunch of vacation days and its almost end of year...:lossinit:

She did not like that I matched all the days she cancelled (asked me to remain at work for "scheduled" trainings) to the days that remain :rotflmao:

She's going to freak because I earn another full week in December :rude:

if not used do they roll over for next year?

Half my team just got a 2 week mandatory leave notice

:spin: this kind of crap really burns my arse...and one of the reasons I have convinced myself not to feel bad for currently being on FMLA for 2 months

I used to get outright denied my vacay requests for whatever BS reason someone could come up with at the time (even caught her put in for the same day for herself AFTER I submitted mine,,,,she had seniority and I swear it was just to screw me over). There were 2 I had to answer too....one has been replaced so it's not quite as bad.

Next time she wants to cancel your day remind her about this and tell her TS

Damm - I only get 10 vacation days a year that don't roll over! You can be sure I never have a situation where I haven't used them all.

If she is going to stick with the vacation-canceling bs, tell her (not ask) that you want a written note stating that any unused vacation days WILL be carried over to next year.
If she says no o that, tell her that "sorry, but the vacation days are not negotiable as you paid for a vacation rental with a "no refund" policy.

Unfortunately you will come cross some POS that think they're top dog when they're really just another runt in the litter.

My company requires that we submit vacation requests as soon as possible to try to avoid conflicts.
If she is ignoring the first come first serve rules that mot companies adopted, you may have a case for HR to look into.

Hopefully you were still able to enjoy some vacation!

And as always...document everything.

Exactly!!!

I just had to go over my vacation records with the boss to confirm that I had only 3 days left for 2014, where she said I had 5.

Luckily I was able tio identify the issue (neither hers or mine) and we are in agreement that I have only 3 days left.

NOW....if I had gone with her statement and taken 5 days, you can bet your sweet patoot that the company would be coming after me for $$ for those 2 days I wasn't entitled to.

That's why I like to keep records!!!
