chris its just a peise of stainless i drilled a hole and cut a triangle and rounded it around the hole, i was fishing it at the canal today...I've never had a medal liped plug with a kinda flaptail (tail) swims a couple feet down maybe 3....and it will throw its tail out every 3-4 seconds left/right/left...I'll weight it chris tonight...thanks

Aluminum would work I would think.

Hardware stores usually have small racks of small sized hobby metal- tubing, sheet, angle- in brass, aluminum, steel. Various thicknesses of sheet available. Just a couple bucks per piece.
