WTB 2 rods
looking for 2 rods for the ditch... I broke both mine today :fury:
need a plug rod and a jigging rod, spinning 10' range and prefer 1 piece, so if anyone is doing a spring cleaning and they have upgraded keep me in mine please. thanks Skip |
Ahem:
http://www.striped-bass.com/Stripert...03-2-rods.html The 10' Arra 1205 will do both plugs, and jigs to 4-5 oz. 10', one piece, spinning. Someone already bought the 10' Super Surf that I had there. |
check out the 1205 for sale by MikeP - thats what I use and its extremely versatile - you'll be happy - if not its a very fair price I am sure you could flip it again. Doesnt "fish" as well on top as some rods I have used but for the price, oz range, and casting distance its very good. I really liked it to jig lighter stuff as well so depending what time in the moon cycle you are out / what and where you like to jig it will double as a jig rod.
Should I ask what happened??? |

I have 2 older Lamiglass rods. Both are honey blanks.
1- 1165 honey cut down a few inches will cast 6 ounces out of site. 2- we called this the Rebel rod 9 ft designed to cast rebel lures. |
Fixed my post - we must have sent something at the same time as mine showed up after MikeP's. Plus I got my website names / people mixed up:confused:
Seriously though - you'll like the 1205- I throw minnows to big pencils to 4oz jigs with no issue. Handles fish in current very well. Same rod I fished for the past few years so you probably saw me with it. |
I have a 2 piece tica 10'6 rated 2-8oz

i have a nice custom spinning rod one piece 10' fuji guides. would be perfect for you.

I have a rod, i believe its an allstar 1208 but i am not certain of the blank. 1 piece, black commando style wraps. Its actually 9'8", i picked it up off of Clogston this spring but realized that it is very similar to my Lami 1201L. 100 bucks if your interested. Its a bit light for canal duty, but will work in a pinch. Seems good for 2-2.5oz wood, tins and eels.
