So What's On The Table Sunday?
 
I always like to hear what folks in N.E. and elsewhere are eating on special occasions, especially when it comes to fish dishes and such I never heard of or would have thought to make. I have a bunch of picky eaters, so we're probably going with a Dijon,Balsamic,Brown Sugar glazed ham, roasted asparagus and pearl onions and a baked corn dish. Maybe some stuffies and steamers for an appetizer. How about you all? What's good to eat this Easter?

Well, since the wife will be away to see her family in NJ, and Mom and Dad just got back from FLA, and she's bowing out of making Easter Dinner this year, I'll probably be eating a meatball sub.....

But normally, Mom would make ham, along with keilbasy and backed beans, Grandma would bring home made mac and cheese, and red cabbage.

There is also usually shrimp, cocktail style, some cheese and crackers and pepperoni, and my sister would make a hot clam/crab dip or something like that. and of course the mandatory hard boiled eggs.....

I would bring the fresh grated horseradish......man, talk about clearing your sinuses....try grating up horseradish root sometime....;)

Once or twice I helped out Mom and went to her house early to make leg of lamb....one of my and her favorites.

But this year, it will be whatever stikes my fancy for Sunday, which could very well be a meatball sub, unless I decide to go for grilled lamb chops....though Saturday I AM having Quail on the grill all by my lonesome....:)

At the "better" halfs house....Easter wouldn't be the same without the customary Octupus stew and roasted rabbit...very traditional family...:cool:

...it'll be Surf & Turf at mama's house....Shrimp Mozambique w/beef steaks!!....not sure if I'm spelling this right, but for dessert.......Maca :D......ummm....sweetbread & possibly Malassadas...um..portagee fried dough, for those uni-cultured members. :happy:

A few bushels of steamed Chesapeake Bay Blooclaws with Old Bay. Corn on the cob. Coors light. :laughs:

well tonite is the inlaws sun is my parents....between the two...ham ham and more ham, keilbasa, momma's meat pie,More keilbasa that my father in law will make me eat with the hottest horseradish in the world....lotsa tater salad and slaw and much more....but those are my favorites!

Easter Dinner at the wife's family. Italian, so goodeats.
Antipasto, that is awsome. Homemade Ravioli's, meatballs, sausages, and (sp?) Brocchiole, all cooked in the sauce, excuse me, GRAVY!
Believe it or not, there will be a ham brought out later in the day :rolleyes: :happy:

FWW, is coors light officially considered a beer? :laughs:

Yes, but your supposed to tip it in the steamer not tip it back... Guiness won't work, sadly :doh: - funny thing is I finally convinced my wife to use GOOD beer in her beer battered bass and it was awful - cheap beer is really needed...

CS - how fast do those gould fish swim? Ya won't need to worry about the dogs :hihi:
