Holy Chit!

fishaholic18 04-03-2007 09:46 PM

Dude, did u see a Doc?
Watch out for infection.

Nebe 04-03-2007 10:29 PM

no doc. Ive been burned enough to know the drill. Keep it clean is #1 keep it moist at all times under a clean bandage is #2 and #3 is to use an antibotic with pain relief like neosporin.

It will heal in good time.

Christian 04-03-2007 10:30 PM

ive had a burn like that
extreme pain those first 12 hours

nice picture :devil2:

bart 04-04-2007 05:06 AM

nasty

clumber 04-04-2007 05:34 AM

Not fun....guess those pleasure sticks have that whole pleasure/pain thing going on.
Rubber burns are probably similar to the days I spent as a hot tar roofer.
Stick and blister.

The worst one I had though was actually from Dunkin Donuts. Grabbed a coffee at a drive through before a trip to Newport and as I transfered it to the cup holder the top popped off and it poured down my arm. I was wearing a sweater inside of a leather jacket and it just wicked it right up. It was hot, but I pulled the "I'm a man, its not that bad" routine. Pulled over in Jamestown to take of the sweater and the skin from my arm came off with the sweater. :( Burns suck.

That one is nice...right on the joint too.

Nebe 04-04-2007 08:04 AM

yeah ironically enough, it happened while i was making pleasure sticks, thus the reason i only had black ones at Risaa... put me right out of commission..

lil pussy burn:tooth:

jim sylvester 04-04-2007 09:35 AM

is the new pleasure sticks scented with eben oil??

all kiddng aside eben.....I was burned pretty bad on my hand in a kitched fire when i was 20....reconstruct skin.....whole nine yards....i know how much pain that must have been

Nebe 04-04-2007 09:46 AM

the pain thing is funny. Hurt like hell the day it happened, then for 2 or 3 days it didnt hurt much at all. Now its really buring.. go figure.

when i was 18 i pressed glowing red steel agianst my ear. yeah that was a good one.. Another time a guy i was blowing glass with branded my back with a 2,000 degree glob of glass. yeoch... i quiver just thnkng about that one because it was so big, but i'll take a 2000 degree glass burn over 450 molten rubber any day of the week... that rubber was like napalm.

vanstaal 04-04-2007 11:15 AM

ouch if u need some help doing the oven thing i help ya !!:btu:

MakoMike 04-04-2007 01:05 PM

Eben,
I recall you telling me about it at the show, but YIKES, its much worse than I thought. Speedy recovery to ya.

Joe 04-04-2007 04:17 PM

Damn.....

Diamond Tackle 04-04-2007 05:00 PM

Hope you heal up real even.Sorry to see that this happened to you. No hard work goes unpunished I guess. I try to be real careful myself with the molten lead and all, its always on my mind when I ladle from the pot,one slip and it gets ugly fast. ]

Young Salt 04-04-2007 05:22 PM

wow all that BS'ing i did with you at the show and i didnt even realize it.

knuckle wounds suck.

Fishpart 04-04-2007 06:42 PM

Eben try Silvadine, helps burns heal a little faster..

Thom 04-05-2007 01:47 AM

Man that had to really hurt. I haven't got a bad steam burn in a while last one a back up into a return line with a sweaty tee shirt on nice second and third degree burns across the back. ThomT

woodbutcher 04-05-2007 03:26 PM

Polysporin better than neosporin. Lesser incidence of sesitization(developement of allergic reaction).
Heal up soon

woodbutcher 04-05-2007 09:48 PM

BTW, Neb ya really didn't need to that, you can retire undefeated, 'cause trust me raisineye, your title is safe from that botfly guy.
