Anyone know the make of this faucet? How do I exactly remove the spout itself? There is nothing stamped on it other than hot/cold. Underneath there is a small U shaped opening near the where the spout
comes out of the wall. There is also a small circular opening near the end the spout where what appears a set screw should be(allen head?).I Can't get this %$%$%$%$ing thing off!!! Btw bought at Home Cheapo about 6-7yrs back. Jeff? |
They are usually screwed on a threaded pipe. Use a heavy rag to prevent jaws of wrench from damaging the finish. Most likely has pipe dope on the threads when installed.

It looks like some kind of Delta What are you trying to take off? the spout or the handle?

yep
what nightfighter said except if it were me i'd duct tape
the faucet first and then use a rag...... changing tile? or seals?...washers? |
No a Strap wrench

I think that the spout on that type is a set screw and o-rings seal it it should be an allen from underneath

And there is a fair amount of corrosion. There's a a little knob on top of the spout that you pull up to make the shower work.It broke.I want to replace the whole spout with a little bit more quality one. |
Take a mirror and use it to look at the bottom
