Conn. Yankee Eyes?
 

Are the conn. yankee eyes carved out of the wood, or are they stick ons? Never actually seen one in perosn. Thanks :-}

counter sink/plug cutter were used to make the eye's ,,they were milled out/into the wood body..not stuck-glued-pasted on.

Thanks capesams, thought they were part of the body, did he modify the bit to make it rounded?

not that I'm aware of....plug cutter's cut round with a hollow center...so you get a rised center and a ring round that,,that's deeper.
