Backbeach Jake 03-15-2005 06:21 PM

The first time that I quit smoking , someone handed me a good cigar at a party. I was readdicted for another 10 years. Cubans have HUGE trade possibilities. You can buy a lot of influence with a few of those.

chris L 03-16-2005 02:45 PM

I thought it was illeagal to own a cuban ? or to even transport one here unless it comes over in a boat and gets asylum .
do they taste any good ?

put out that god aweful stinking cigar !

Bassman18 03-16-2005 06:43 PM

it's illegal to sell cubans in the US, but if you get them through "other means", like canada, it's perfectly legal. It's not illegal to own them either. My all time favorites are Crown Davids, I only found them in a small tobacco shop in philly and nowhere else. Anybody got a cuban they want to part with :smokin: :D

Notaro 03-23-2005 09:31 PM

You can even buy cuban cigars from any country and bring it to USA. I haven't had a good cuban for a while.

spence 03-23-2005 09:42 PM

I believe it's still illegal to bring them into the country, at least that was the case 5 years ago at the Detroit/Windsor border :buds:

Notaro 03-23-2005 09:50 PM

what was the conseqence for those people in detriot/windsor case, spence?

spence 03-23-2005 09:57 PM

Funny story...

The short is, don't play the last seat at the $25 black jack table, unless you're willing to admit your card screwed the body builder's double down...

He was really big...

And he wanted to kill me :fishslap:

Crossing the border (with a van full of smoke) the border agent asked if we had any cigars from illegal countries.

We said "no maam".

She winked and let us through :faga:

 oic, u were lucky last time

Arby 03-25-2005 09:37 AM

I had a Cuban Cohiba last year... Joy!

fishweewee 03-25-2005 10:37 AM

I do the Windsor-Detroit crossing often (sometimes hit the casinos). Never had a problem coming out of the tunnel or the bridge.

Just take the labels off the cigars and chuck 'em if you're worried about U.S. customs. Nobody will know any better.

RoyL 03-25-2005 11:15 AM

being Cuban every once in awhile I come across a few and I just give them away. Guess i'm going to have to hold on to them for some plug trading
