"yeah, but it's a dry heat"...what a crock. That is one hot mofo in the summertime. :af:
|
When I lived in Tempe, the hottest day I remember was 115 degrees on my way to work, and I had no ac in my car. Freakin' oven temperatures:smash:
|
the first day i lived in phoenix back in 88 was 118 , and it was at least 100 every day til the end of october.. but you get used to it.. i came back here and froze my ass off in one of the coldest winters we had (before this past year)..
its nice there, just no real fishing.. |
A friend of mine has a glassblowing studio in arizona...I dont know how he does it:huh:
A thing to remember is that there is very little humidity down there, so when its 100° with no humidity, it actually might feel more comfortable than a day around new england thats 80° with 90% humidity. |
My brother is moving there next month. Not 4 me ...no salt.
|
I would imagine after time you get used to it .
Id like to visit in the winter for 3 months ! |
Talk about dumb moves....
1. Girlfriend moves out there, so I do too....to Scottsdale 2. It was the summertime.... 3. Didn't have a car at the time so I bought a bike and shipped it out there. So, in review, I follow a girl to one of the hottest states and one of the glitziest towns in the heat of the summer with only a bicycle to get around. Yeah, the ride to and from work (restaraunt) was a hot one, especially around mid-day. And by the way, there is salt there-the Salt River. Tubing the Salt River was one of the best things I did out there. And one more by the way....girls? The 9's out here wouldn't stand a chance against the 5's out there. |
I have played golf out there several times...It is a fun trip. Last time it was a dry heat 105..felt like I was in a blast furance. I drank water...LOTS of water, maybe several gallons, I don't know...the amazing thing was I never pee'ed and my shirt was dry.....That is a what a dry heat does for you.
Fun place to visit...would not want to live there. Az College girls are sure hot...I can say that:humpty: |
