Im new and need a rod and reel
 

I dont know alot about striper fishing but I want to start hookin em. What would be a good rod and reel for me to start fishing with? Im lookin to fish macs and blue fish too and what ever happens to hit the bait.

I think the reason you're a little short on responses is that you need to provide a little more info ;) Boat or shore? Lures or bait? What weight range you looking to cast? You need a 2 piece for storage/transport or you looking for a 1 piece?

However, off the top of my head, I'll start by saying that if you're looking for a rod that'll give you good sport with macks, and still has the balls for stripers and blues, you're asking for a lot.
