custom rods for sale

I have a Batson 1088 and a Batson 1087 both spinning for sale
hardly used
collecting dust
Fuji hardaloy guides
cork grips

$120 each

picked up, won't ship

can meet within reason of middleboro mass

tattoobob 08-16-2010 04:48 PM

Bruce what is the ratting on these rods?

Slipknot 08-16-2010 06:44 PM

1087 is 1-3

1088 is 1-4

great beach sticks, or even a yak

they are 8'-10" long I believe

Slipknot 08-23-2010 10:22 PM

$100 each

GMAN 08-30-2010 07:31 PM

how the condition of the 10' any pics i may be interested.

1dozenraw 08-30-2010 07:38 PM

I think they are both 9'... well actually 8'10"... that's why they are designated 1087 and 1088...108" or 9'. They shortened them to meet shipping max length.

I think...

Slipknot 08-30-2010 07:43 PM

9 foot rods in great shape
like I said, hardly used
these are my backups

batson made them 8' 10" to not infringe on Sabres I think

anyway, they are excellent rods

GMAN 08-30-2010 09:15 PM

got any pics? is the 1-4 1 pc?

Slipknot 08-31-2010 07:27 AM

yes 1 piece
both are one pc.

I'll take some pics later tonight

Very versatile rods.

The 1088 was the Go To rod for many a few years ago and one of the best values for custom rods anywhere, going from $150-200 new. They were the first serious custom rods for many people.

The 1088 is a nice eeling / plug rod and the 1087 is a nice bomber, lighter plug, tin, rod.

I have several conventional.

1dozenraw 08-31-2010 11:15 AM

Are these SW or SU rods ... or are they older than those models?

Slipknot 08-31-2010 12:25 PM

older

I had mine out this AM at the B-way. It would be great for that in my opinion. I was throwing 1 oz and up to 2 3/4 with a Daiwa SS2600 mounted on it. Nice light blank. Good price. If I didn't already have one... it would be long gone.

JOn, I think it would be fine for him

my first custom rod was a Sabre 1088, great all around rod.

This 1088 would last him a long time for sure.

WoodyCT 09-10-2010 11:25 AM

Thanks 1Dozen...

Great to hear.

$80 work for you Slip?

If not I can go up a bit.

Slipknot 09-21-2010 05:04 PM

1087 has been sold

the 1088 will be available if WoodyCT doesn't take it for $90 soon.

thanks for looking
and thanks Gman

WoodyCT 09-21-2010 07:05 PM

Bruce,
My busy schedule is holding you up, and that's not fair to you. My apologies. Feel free to sell the rod to another if there is interest. Another rod will come along for my son.

Appreciate the opportunity,
Jon
