Biden administration proposes boat speed limits of 10 knots for boats over 35 feet

Finally a political issue that hits close to home here...

Let's hear how brilliant this is! From FL to ME, speed limit of 10 knots for boats over 35 feet, 7 months a year

That is stupid and I can’t see that going anywhere. I think I saw on a local news show, maybe Chronicle, they are working on retrieval gear that will eliminate the lines.

This isn’t new. It’s all ready in place

All vessels 65 feet (19.8 meters) or longer must travel at 10 knots or less in certain locations (called Seasonal Management Areas or SMAs) along the U.S. east coast at certain times of the year

.
Seems they proposed a rule

NOAA Fisheries hosted three public informational webinars in August to answer questions about the proposed rule

Just more faux outrage from fox screaming government overreach

i asked a question wayne, im not outraged.

there are several pieces that are new. It includes way more vessels, down to 35 feet for example. it’s from FL to ME, and it’s 7 months out of the year.

You’re saying none of that is new?

like talking with a defiant two year old.

This has been going on since August via public hearings so not actually new but new for some

And fox is clearly playing their government overreach faux outrage
