US raid against Islamic State
There are unconfirmed reports of a US raid against Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
The raid was carried out by US special operations forces after they received "actionable intelligence", The info came from the Kurds how Ironic , clearly a good thing if he is dead.. But i find the timing odd .. Cant wait to see what the quid pro quo is I doubt the Kurds gave this info for free |
I heard obama got him

^^^ This is good if true, heard last night and was waiting for conf. Trump announced it this morning so it is probably true (there is a history of top militant fighters being killed not turning out true - particularly in air strikes) Quote:

.. he was doing so well until 1:15 , then he went down a weird path.. For me anyway |
great timing :kewl:
Saturday Night Live went on the air at 11:30 pm Eastern time with an opening skit where Alec Baldwin's Very Fake Trump was thanked by Pete Davidson's Very Fake ISIS Member for "bringing jobs back...for ISIS." Six minutes before, Jennifer Griffin of Fox News was tweeting that ISIS leader Abu-Bakr al-Baghdadi may have been killed in a raid by U.S. forces in Syria. John Santucci of ABC reported it via Twitter at 11:53. |
Glad they got him but I shook my head when Trump think al-baghdadi is worse than bin Laden. Also hearing Trump describe itwhas like listening to Isis describing a raid.

Sounds like our special ops pulled off another difficult mission. Good for them. And now back to our regularly programmed impeachment hearings :hihi:
|
And here I thought the mission was green lighted just to distract from these very serious hearings. I guess it didn’t work.🤷🏽#^&♂️

Trump as usual really doesn’t understand Isis or the Islamic terrorist mentality. Losing the leader is important, but it by no means ends their efforts. If fact Trump provided them a wonderful recruitment video that will no doubt be of great help as they move forward. A dog insult in their culture is a low blow and they will use Trumps description of his death to recruit the next generation. In typical Trump fashion, he claimed Isis uses the internet better than anyone except him of course, because he always has to be the best.

al qaeda survived bin laden death and morphed into to todays Isis .. the killing of both of them is a good thing .. but we tend to only kill them long after they killed so many. Until the idea is killed by a resonable standards of living in the middle east they will always be rebuilding in the shadows..
Iraqis are rioting in the streets in vast numbers its an incubator for extremists.. And Trumps granstanding and name calling .(yes he deserved to die a horrible death) and ive heard it before he's says it like it is,or hes not a politician or some just like the tough guy act.. for me it only diminishes the office of The Potus ... And all my years in the service and correction .. Those who have done the most been or been in the worst battles .. alway Say the least .. but the message was alway clear.. this guy they killed, the head of isis, kidnapped an american girl who was a humanitarian aid worker in syria, they kept her for months, and he himself tortured and raped her, then they executed her and dumped her body. the parents will never even be able to bury her. trump should have announced that they brought his body home and fed it to pigs. if egging them on brings them out of the shadows, fire up the drones and release the hellfires until our inventory is dry. it’s ok when obama pats himself on the back, but unbefitting a potus when trump does it. If Trump had said what the Wapo originally said--that Bhagdadi was an austere religious scholar who died, would that have softened the ISIS remnant's desire to quit and be nice. Would they have, because Trump said nice things, decided to be less brutal and less motivated to continue what Baghdadi started? Hell no. They could care less about any show of "civility." If anything, it would be a sign of weakness. They don't respect that. Their whole MO is based on fear. Power and the fear it evokes is the "language" they respect. They have never required insults against them to give them motivation. What would help them get new recruits is the image that they are powerful, and have the backing of Allah. Doing the will of Allah. Characterizing their leader as being killed in disgrace, dying like a cowardly whining dog would not be an attractive pull for a potential recruit. It would not be an attractive sign of successful power, or of the leader and his movement being sanctioned and protected by their God. But Spence and the anti-Trumpers on the forum will gladly parrot the propaganda talking point to maintain their narrative of Trump being the ignorant, stupid, danger to "our Democracy." |

10/23/12 The military and Navy Seals should be given more credit for Bin Laden's death, not Obama, who works hard to take all the credit away from them. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
Keeping America safe makes it easy to believe we will see another term from our great president.

There are always those that call out a R prez that the language is too harsh and will just foster more violence.
Then some of those same gloss over that austere religious scholar. Reason # 136 you have Trump The #WaPoDeathNotice was hilarious https://twitter.com/search?q=%23WaPo...ypeahead_click Quote:
This is a very bad take, Bob. Quote:
I don't think standard of living is enough (nor will happen). Their religion, at least among the mainstream needs a reformation and their culture makes many of them incapable of pulling themselves forward. Religion or culture, mox nix, doesn't matter. |

The president acknowledged that he had informed some Republicans in Congress, the Russians and the Turks But not the house Democrats
He also claimed that Baghdadi's death was "the biggest" then Lied again stating "had pointed out that the Al-Qaeda leader "had to be killed before he knocked down the World Trade Center" but that "nobody" had heeded his warning." PS Mr Trump never made such a statement in his book.. called people who oppose him Human Scum his press secretary in response They deserve strong language like that.” Every day Trumps sound more and more like a fascists than an American president. and his supporter prefer Trump the Fascists over American President |

How ill advised words get used, why you need to be careful of your speech as a leader and above reproach. There is an internet full of examples.
A ranking IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran) commander said that Washington aims to play down the role of Resistance Axis in fighting terrorism in the region. “ISIL has been defeated by regional nations and the Resistance Axis and Americans aim to question the role of Resistance in the fight against terrorism and say that ‘we are the one undermining ISIL and fighting terrorism’, but this is not the case,” Brigadier General Ismail Kowsari, Deputy Commander of IRGC’s Sarollah Base, told Mehr News Agency on Tuesday. Despite creating an anti-ISIL UScoalition, Americans didn’t adopt any measure against terrorists and rather, backed these terror groups with all might and the support still continues, he added. Trump has repeatedly admitted during his presidential election campaign that ISIL was founded by the United States, Kowsari said. “ISIL was created by Americans and supported by them during the past years; so Americans were well aware of the terror leader’s hiding place,” he added. “US leaders came to this conclusion that ISIL was of no use for them any longer,” he said adding that they are now mounting propaganda to claim that they are the ones fighting with terrorism. He noted that al-Baghdadi’s story is very similar to the case of Bin-Laden al-Qaeda, saying US created both and then as soon as their expiration date arrived, made a media buzz and said that they have killed leaders of Takifiri terrorism. Source: Mehr News Agency https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6ed0ETdpQo Russia: Satellite Images Prove US Smuggling of Syrian Oil Russia, citing satellite imagery, says the United States has been smuggling Syrian oil to other countries under the protection of its troops before and after the defeat of the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group in the region. Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said on Saturday that “the space intelligence images showed that oil was actively extracted and massively exported for processing outside Syria, under the reliable protection of US troops, before and after the defeat of the Daesh terrorists.” Konashenkov stressed that the convoys were guarded by US private military companies and special operations forces. |
