Words matter. It's a Putin crisis, not a Ukraine crisis. There are no separatists; they are Russian occupation forces. There is no Russian president; there is a dictator with nukes who wants the world to dance to his tune. Words matter, but they have never stopped a dictator.

again, what does it mean that Putin didnt do this during Trump’s 4 years, and he started moving his pieces so early into the Biden administration?

isn’t it fair to say that Putin senses a weakness now, that he didn’t think was there before?

Robert Gates, Obama’s secretary of defense:

“Biden has been wrong on just about every foreign policy and national security issue, over the last four decades.”

Even before he had dementia, he couldn’t get these things right.

Stiff sanctions should have been put in place weeks ago, it’s way past the point diplomacy will work, it’s just a matter of time now.

Trump withholding support for Ukraine in his lame attempt to get dirt on Biden and his outstanding job at dividing Americans and weakening NATO was a gift to Putin, leaving him this military option as his only way to take back Ukraine before they can join nato.

Trump helped Putin and harmed Ukraine and like everything else he touched left it to the next administration to clean up, but I agree Biden should have pulled the trigger on stiff sanctions as soon as it became apparent what was coming.

wdmso 02-22-2022 08:18 AM

Well if this administration doesn’t see these Peacekeepers as an invasion and they do not sanction russia. They should have been imposed after Putin’s press conference!

Even if the EU or other nation choose not to . They are morons and the term weak won’t begin in describing Bidens Actions
I would suggest the term cowardly…. he huffed he puffed and he blew nothing down !

Trump didn't divide Americans, Americans divided Americans. All he was, was a catalyst that brought people's ugliness to the surface (both sides). People are responsible for their own actions on how they treated people, not the Orange Man.

And he didn't weaken Ukraine by "withholding" support. Ukraine got the support, and more than Obama gave. No wonder they keep getting it wrong, they keep believing their own lies.

That common sense argument, spits in the face of liberalism, which is largely based on the idea that nothing that anyone does, is their own fault. Everything is someone else's fault. That's liberalism.

Tell us about the 8 senators, all GOP, that went to Moscow on July 4, 2018

Be specific, what were they all doing there?

Remember the great days, when Putin was frightened by Donald Trump. Terrifying for Russia to have a POTUS who stood there like a whipped puppy and denigrated his own intelligence services, kissed Putin's ass, and tried to blackmail Ukraine. Amazing Putin lived through it.

Trump was owned by Russia, protected by Republicans.
Traitor to America

Again another captain obvious, I'm well aware Trump eventually released what CONGRESS approved, even though he had no right to hold it up for his little political Rudy driven craziness about getting Ukraine to help dig up dirt, but by holding it up he was given Putin a good laugh that his browmance with Trump might bear fruit.

It's February 22nd in Donbas. Putin launched the escalation of his invasion on the eight-year anniversary of the end of EuroMaidan, Ukraine's revolution of Dignity, the popular uprising that ousted his puppet, first brought to power by Paul Manafort.

Another Trump/Putin tankie
Russia's state TV is proudly showing off Mike Pompeo's recent commentary, where he said about Putin: “Very shrewd. Very capable. I have enormous respect for him."

and that, not perceived weakness of Biden, surely is what incentivized Putin to invade.

A lot going wrong for Pudding Brain.

Of all the former secretaries of state under Democratic and Republican presidents, only one is taking to cable news and social media during a moment of peril in Europe to praise Russian President Vladimir Putin and chastise the Biden administration.

Welcome to the new GOP

Only Biden

Now I understand . . . you didn't mean that Trump weakened Ukraine, but that he gave Putin a good laugh . . . maybe that's why Putin didn't invade Ukraine then, because he was having too good a time laughing. Maybe Biden should have given Putin a good laugh too, so he would 't invade Ukraine.

i’m old enough to remember when obama mocked romney for saying Russia was a serious threat, and ALL the liberals thought Obama was so witty and clever.

Remember? “Hey Mitt, the 1980s called, they want their foreign policy back.”

Ha ha ha, my stomach hurts from laughing.

America has never stopped being Great

Making America great again . Is just a slogan and a conservative ploy to promote grievance politics pushing division between citizens for votes suggesting other America’s are the true enemy .. of the nation
