Last I checked the season series is 1-1. Of course NE's win counts more ( who would argue with all the HUGE Patriot fans who discovered football in 2000). Let's not forget the buttkicking Cleveland gave NE that counts too.

who cares

2000 huh, try 1969 for me

not to worry, your team will get in the tournament, but hopefully this year your coach won't embarass himself not realizing it:rotf2:

good effort last night , but I think Brady and the Pats made up for their effort in the first matchup down there.

You're kidding, right? I had been to Patriots-Jets games at Fenway by the time you were being weamed of diapers. At Fenway Park no less. In Joe Willie's heyday.... Yep, the Browns definitely took it to the Pats. The team sucked it up and has now buttkicked the three strongest teams in the AFC. Two of which have recent Super Bowls to their credit. The third team, (who might that be?) appears to be the beneficiary of a loud, quotable coach, HBO hype, and a weak schedule. Eight of nine wins against opponents who aren't over .500........ Good team, but still smoke and mirrors. They got exposed last night. Bad day to be a Jets fan.

Jet fans getting off the bandwagon in droves over at SOL. Another day that it sucks to be a Jet fan. Miami ran it up on them, 10-6.....

No, good teams can get back up from a whuppin'.

Teams that have eked out a string of lucky wins, and buy into the swagger of a blowhard head coach, are the ones who have a hard time getting back up. :grins:

That sums it up perfectly.....Rex Ryan is the biggtest Blowhard in the NFL right now.

I think he just wants to have his own Reality TV show.

stcroixman 12-13-2010 01:22 PM

I am embarassed to say I am a JETS fan after the coach tripping the Dolphin yesterday. Why isn't this guy fired?

That goes way beyond being a bad team or having a cocky coach. That shows the coach has no control over the team. This organization is out of control. I can see 3 more losses.

Time for Rex to go after this season. Time to bring in a respected proven coach like Gruden. Everyone is on the 2nd year QB. No way does he get most of the blame here.

TheSpecialist 12-13-2010 01:44 PM

Yesterday was the glorious sound of Rex Ryan's big mouth choking on a Tuna Fish sandwich....

BTW for the Pat's haters hows that spygate thing working for you now...

FishermanTim 12-13-2010 02:28 PM

We had the "spygate"
They have the "Trip-gate"
Which one is more notable, and more public (like on national TV)?

vineyardblues 12-13-2010 04:54 PM

JETS SUX :rotf2:

The one that cost a team half a million in fines, a first round pick, and cast doubt on the legitimacy of 3 SB championships in the eyes of people who aren't NE fans.

ProfessorM 12-13-2010 07:37 PM

But we are NE fans so we don't give a crap.

:yawn:old news:rollem: Guess they will have to win three more to shut up those doubters up

Which is exactly why, with the extra scrutiny on the team to abide by the ambiguous NFL rules, Patriot fans can truly enjoy seeing them smash the so called legitimate teams. Particularly the past two weeks. Where are they cheating this year??????

He was out of bounds in the opposition's sidelines when he was tripped. His intent was to avoid being blocked when attempting to tackle the receiver. The coaches were lined up to prevent this. One knucklehead thought it would be a good idea to trip him. That was wrong. He risked injury to the player and was not a player himself.
I think a rule change is in order here to prevent this:
Any player running out of bounds at any time during any play is an ineligible player for the remainder of that play. Period. The game is played in bounds, not in and out.

The dude nailed him with his thigh in the thigh that friggin hurt. And he said it was intentional. Regardless of his location on the field it was intentional by the coach, he has been suspended as a result.

That what makes him a knucklehead, he coulda said he was braceing for impact. He did show a little relative honesty in admitting his act. The problem IMHO is a rule problem in that a player can leave the field and return to play.
