I'm thinking 33"

fishaholic18 09-04-2006 09:22 PM

NIB 09-04-2006 09:25 PM

This is great....
The suspense is killin me.
And i know what it is.
If he don't tell soon i'm gonna blab it.

Goose 09-04-2006 11:12 PM

Just for the record, I'm changing my guess, my new "offical" guess is 27'' and three qaurters, I was going to say 27 3/4" but since it wasn't one of the choices I went with 34"

no you won't

go fish instead and catch a fish to get to number 5 so you can go to that brewery and get a trophy:cheers:
bring 5 oz this weekend, you'll need them and 6's also
it moved better tonight

Slipknot 09-05-2006 12:04 AM

It's amazing the variety of answers for a picture of a fish.
If you saw the fish in person, I wonder how the poll would go also.
Just goes to show you you can't tell by a picture how big fish are by the picture alone.

I'll tell tomorrow.

NIB 09-05-2006 05:53 AM

Not worryin bout that what ever happens happens Plus I have a wedding to go to that day.

OK now to the poll.
Maybe my tip was not explained well enough.
If Slips gourd is the size of one of them huge pumpkins u see at the Fair.
It might make a fish in a foto appear smaller rigtht....

Bronko 09-05-2006 07:02 AM

The Equation: Width of Slip`s shoulders - distance from body factor + 6 inches = 31"

so it could be anywhere from 25 to 33 inches :o

Karl F 09-05-2006 07:17 AM

Slip, congrats on your 50... ;)
I voted for 30 inches...
nice dinner fish

afterhours 09-05-2006 07:20 AM

watch it be 25"

chris L 09-05-2006 07:22 AM

its all about how close it is to the camera and the length it is held away from the body .

reelecstasy 09-05-2006 07:37 AM

36 ?

Raven 09-05-2006 08:00 AM

what flap said

of course i measured a hat first....blew up the picture and re measured
it with a computer always on top ruler....
but only came up with
25.5
of course i didn't account for that huge brain in that tremendous noggin underneath it...
better make it 26 inches.:kewl:

MrHunters 09-05-2006 08:32 AM

29

Saltheart 09-05-2006 09:36 AM

29

Slipknot 09-05-2006 11:25 AM

OK everyone, I'll end the suspense.
Only 4 people got it correct so far. Professor Moriarty you were the second vote to get it correct.
35 inches was how big it was.
Very deceiving, when I saw the pic I thought I made a mistake so I measured the fish again. It wasn't held out away from me very far at all. Danny took the picture from the front of my little boat. Maybe that has something to do with why P.Moriarty got it right since he knows my boat and me.
Anyway , that was fun.

next time we'll do the weight of another fish sometime.

Skitterpop 09-05-2006 11:30 AM

:hee:

Finaddict 09-05-2006 11:32 AM

Never would have guessed 35, in fact, I didn't :hee: I guessed much smaller as it looked decieving, thinking the arms were stretched out. :fishslap:

macojoe 09-05-2006 11:34 AM

Dam I knew it!! But the Professor took my pick :crying:

zacs 09-05-2006 11:35 AM

i had guessed 34". After reading all of the other guesses i was starting to doubt myself.

ProfessorM 09-05-2006 11:40 AM

I keep telling you I have an eye for detail. Yeah right I took a shot in the dark, no science involved. P.

Nebe 09-05-2006 03:06 PM

Bruce got chubby fingers :rotf2:

MrHunters 09-05-2006 03:10 PM

I gave ya's all plenty o tips.
The cromagnon man enlarged gourd should have been the
dead givaway.
When I first saw the pic it looked like a #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& 30#er.
:D

Goose 09-05-2006 06:51 PM

I won I won...what did i win??

justplugit 09-05-2006 09:09 PM

Adrian 09-06-2006 07:18 AM
