SCORE
what an intense game! I'm exhausted just watching it, the players must be toast but relieved it's over :buds::buds::buds: 53 saves by Rask wow I predicted 37 would get it great play by that line I hope Campbells' leg ain't broke |
What a game glad I stayed up for the end.

Worth staying up late for indeed. Best game I have seen in quite awhile, probably ever. Tuukaa was insanely awesome. B's power play is horrible but their penalty killing is perfect, stopping this talented Penguins team every time. Two goals total for Pitts in 11 periods of hockey! Gotta say Pitt goalie pretty much stood on his head as well.
That had to deflate them so get out your brooms! :jump1: |
epic game. insane goaltending on both sides. b's won't be denied.

Friday Night...
Bruins should close it out...
|
i listened to it while i was fishing last night.... no amount of coffee would have provided the boost to help keep me awake for the dirve home that that last goal did...
|
I'm pretty tired today but the Bruins won so its ok.
It must really suck to be a Penguins fan today !!! Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
I have to reach pretty far back into my memory to come up with a better playoff performance by a goalie, than what Rask did last night. Even Dryden didn't face 54 shots from that B's machine back in 1971.
And to hold that offense to 2 goals over 11 periods (or at least 10 and part of an 11th), that's just incredible. No matter how good a D he has in front of him. |
That was an amazing OT performance...either team could have won. I had a hard time sleeping after that I was so jacked.
Campbell showed commitment with a capital B. |
May 4, 2000, rookie Flyers goalie Brian Boucher stopped 57 shots by the Pens in a 2-1 win in the 5th O/T. I guess that trumps Tuukka. He gave up a goal in the first three minutes of the opening period, and had 6-1/2 scoreless periods thereafter.
I knew there was a 5 O/T game in the not-too-distant past, and that was it. |
WOW

That was Pissa
Bruins are playing as a team unbelievable Tuukka 2 shut outs, only 2 goals against that team! WOW I hope they keep this up Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

Who would think we would see a better playoff from a goalie than what Tim Thomas did a few years ago. Rask, unreal !!! And he's a kid at 26 years !!! |
Thoughts:
Sidney needs some serious jaw surgery and major dental attn. Bylsma will be looking for a job (but not for long). 4 times beaten by a lower seed in the playoffs, and with a line up like that....no excuses, management will send him packing. (I bet he goes to the rangers :) ) Iginla will not get re-signed by pens, they gave up a lot for him and ended up on 3rd line producing a big fat donut. I bet they blow up part of the team and trade a superstar. IMO...their defense was their weakest link. (and they gave away the first two games way too easy) Rask was stellar this series, simply stellar. (I think he only signed a 1 year contract...man is he in good shape, I hope the B's can afford him next year! :) ) Finals should be amazing...its gonna be Hawks vs B's (I think Quick has seen his run come to an end) two orig 6's, major viewership. Can't wait. |
Claude's last season with the B's he's to reserved bla bla bla...no no wait a minute he's a defensive genius. Love it how not long ago weei & boston media didnt even announced daily bruins games... now they're all hockey experts. the B's where the punch line to every joke even when they where playin well. rrrrrrrrr
Love this hard nosed defensive team, take'um over a finesse talented teams |
playoff hockey at its best. looks like destiny is on the b's side.
