Water in the bilge from somewhere

Here is my issue. Boat leaves the driveway bone dry in the bilge . while running i made sure not to run washdown or bait well pump
get to 1st stop. 35 min run. hit the bilge pump. I get water let it run dry. run back home boat back on the trailer in the yard pull the
plug. and easily fills 1.5 five gallon buckets ...

the plug is new and used teflon Tape. I check the Bilge with a flashlight not see any seepage. from the Raw water pick up.

but seeing it's happening while i am underway. I can only guess the seacok is the issue. (which I can't reach to shut off. ) to confirm

any Ideas

Thanks I get that with Rain. but the boat is bone dry in the driveway. and 10 gallons of saltwater when I get back. I even tased it to confirm it wasnt raine water
 
Back when I had my center console, I must have hit something in the water one day and didn't realize it, not until weeks later. Was pulling the boat out of a ramp I don't even remember which and noticed a drip, drip, drip below the water line and tasted it and it was salt water. That explained some auto bilge pump running and turned into a $10,000 travelers insurance claim to get rid of all the bad insulation and new gel work. Decided the next year, it might be time to retire from boating. Might want to check below the water line.
 
Leaking thru hull? Maybe only gets wet underway?
Also maybe seem between hull and cap. Water runs up side of hull in rough stuff underway.
 
Cracked hoses on bilge or washdown or bait pump
Some hoses are just plastic with now reinforcements and simply crack
If so replace with better hoses.

You can’t access the seacock?????? That doesn’t seem good

It so poorly designed. i cant shut if off on the trailer on the water would be just call the CG and I couldn't replace the scupper hoses if i wanted to. without cutting the transmon off
or finding a 3 year of thats good with tools LOL

dont think its the cap. made a tru hull in my forward fish boxes but still leaning towards. my high speed pick seacock seeing the wash down and bait pump looks like this.

If you've draining out about 7 gallons (1.5 five-gallon buckets) of water once off the water, is your bilge even working properly?
Be careful out there Wayne....

Mine is in the shop now too, something let go last time I was out there, "clunkity-clunk"....prop-seized, then would no longer turn over, something blew somewhere......boating season is probably over for me :mad:.......Albies will be here tomorrow now!!! 🤬

the bilge pump doesn't have a float. it was one of those electric eye. ones the eye failed but it pumps manual .. sorry to hear about your motor. but when they show feel free to jump on my boat.
 
I think i have found the issue. was abile to get the seacock closed last trip another 60 mile disappointment. but no water

so its the housing itself that supports the bait pump or the connected hoses. going to replace the entire unit. end of season or next year

I had one fail. Now I leave the livewell intake seacock closed unless I want to use it.
Small livewell, if I am just tossing on some snappers or peanuts I just fill it with a bucket most of the time.
 
I wish i could reach it to turn on and off while on the water. It takes a step stool. some stretching and a blind grab. to even touch it. and thats on the trailer in the driveway.. if it failed underway. my only choice if i noticed in time. would be call a MAYDAY. and beach it.

Bummer. I learned my bilge pump would keep up with that sized leak, until it died or my battery died if I was at the dock....
