tail wrap

Ok,here is how I do my tail wraps. Bear with me as this is going to take 5 pictures. First bend wire back at approximately 45 degrees

2nd grip wire tight to back of plug with round nose pliers and pull wire forward

3rd while gripping wire pull it down towards plug and wrap it around near grommet

4th pull wire with left hand and turn pliers with right hand causing the wire to twist around

yes, notice the super glue on finger...wire tears it up. I did a search on line (google) under round nose pliers. I'll try to find the address. Like 40 bux
 
like mac said, the craftsman ones are no good. the ones i'm talking about are the aluminum ones about 4" long. i think they are called round nose plies. They will work just to make the round bend, but if you squeeze it hard enough while making the tailwrap, you'll snap 'em. i've gone through three of em. they have the lifetime warranty, but it's still a pain to not be able to do any wiring untill you return it.
 
Ur plugs a great ur raps suck.i do the same thing till the point of wrapping the wire around the loop.When I get to that point i hook the loop on a chucked up allen key in the vise i grab the wire wit a pair of needlenose vise grips an pulll the plug an wrap it up tight to keep things in place.BM they are called Jewelers pliers.i got a nice old pair bigger than the sears ones at a flea market in a box of old tools for like a dollar.
